2018 Sparkler Speech

Thank you all for coming to celebrate some awesomely talented human beings. I am honored to call many of them my friends. My body does not allow me to be an artist except with my words, so i would like to share a poem i wrote for this occasion.

Under the waves of my unruly body

Lies a mind as deep as the sea

Though my face does not show

Any part of all i know

My soul feels the hot and cold currents beneath
