Dear Professor

Dear Professor,

I am eager to be in your class. I can’t talk but I understand everything and I type with moral support from my staff. My goal is to earn an AA and then transfer to a university where I can study physics. My kind of autism is a motor disorder not a cognitive one, so please know that I hear and understand you even though it might look like I am not paying attention. My body sometimes moves around and makes weird noises despite my efforts to stay still and quiet. I am working hard on that and my staff also help me stay regulated. Once in a while I have a seizure but don’t panic, my staff know exactly what to do. You will love having me as a student because I am a motivated, passionate scholar.
